Narrative Reporting
Officers can create one or many narrative and supplementary reports for a given incident. All reports are automatically linked to their underlying incident automatically upon creation.

New in PolicePro 8 is an improved interface for report creation. Instead of the fullscreen narrative entry screen of earlier versions, this time we stacked all the basic information from the Dispatch Ticket on the left side of the screen, with the report writing area on the right.

This cuts down on a lot of clicking back and forth to check on a time, how someone's name was spelled, address or DOB information, and other relevant data. ALL the basic stuff is available right on the same screen that the officer uses to write the actual report.

Any Name record displayed in the Persons list can be clicked to pop a window with additional information on that person. Everything can be copied and pasted - or dragged and dropped - into the report creation field. Dynamic spell checking saves officers embarrassment in court later on when some superior defense attorney starts trying to make points at the officer's expense.

For installs with active detective or investigative divisions, we offer privacy options for multi levels of reporting. In-house or sensitive investigations can be restricted to certain people or divisions, while the general investigative report that emanated from the initial response is available to everyone.

When a report is created, the usual red checkmark pops onto the Reports tab on all main screens. Clicking that tab from the Dispatch Ticket for any incident will take the user to ALL reports belonging to that incident that the user is authorized to see.

Reports are completed with a mouseclick and result as either printed or PDF output, in PolicePro's usual elagant format. We have won complements from prosecutors and DA's offices all over the country on the quality of our printed output.

With our usual attention to detail, we offset all printed output from the left side of the page far enough to allow three-hole punching without touching any of the report text itself.
